Post does not come pre bent! Not an issue for me, bent it myself with some pliers, and don't know if I missed this somewhere in the description, just something I noticed upon opening. I only bought the head with no backing as well so maybe it was an issue of it not being compatible with backings I already have. Otherwise, piece is super cute and the perfect size!
